Job Description
About the position
St Peter's College is seeking an experienced Educational Support Officer – Senior School to join our Diverse Learning Needs team. In this role, the Educational Support Officer – Students with Diverse Learning Needs provides targeted and specialised assistance under the guidance of teaching staff.
This is a permanent part-time (0.85 FTE), 37.5 hours per week, 41 weeks of the year with the opportunity commencing Term 3, 2026.

Desired Skills And Experience
As the successful applicant you will
* Have a willingness to support the School's values and Anglican ethos.
* A Certificate IV in Education / Education Support (or equivalent) and/or relevant demonstrated knowledge and experience in a comparable role.
* Hold South Australian WWCC, Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect – Education and Care (RRHAN-EC) Fundamentals & Masterclass certificates.
* Demonstrated experience as an Education Support Officer, or a like role.
* Knowledge and experience of working with students with disability or diverse learning needs.
* Experience in working effectively, independently and as part of a team.
* Understanding of the Disability Standards for Education and the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data.
* Demonstrated ability to provide flexible support for students to be independent learners to achieve their individual optimal education outcomes.
* Demonstrated ability to establish effective working relationships with adults and young people.
* The ability to nurture and contribute to building positive relationships with staff, students and parents to ensure the wellbeing of students.
* Communication skills which are effective in liaising with a wide range of people through a variety of forms.
