About the Company
A well-established WA Civil & Mining Contractor delivering projects across civil construction, mining services, earthworks, road maintenance, and infrastructure works throughout Western Australia.
The Role
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the General Manager - Head of Operations will oversee multiple civil and mining operations across WA, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on time, and within budget.
This role is responsible for operational leadership, project performance, client management, team development, and business growth initiatives. Based between Bunbury and Collie, the position will require regular site travel across WA.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage multiple operations across WA
* Drive project delivery, budgets, scheduling, and operational performance
* Mentor and support Project Managers, Supervisors, and site teams
* Build and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships
* Promote a strong safety-first culture across all operations
* Contribute to tenders, strategic planning, and business growth
* Monitor performance, resources, and operational efficiencies
About You
* Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar senior leadership role
* Strong background in civil construction, mining, earthworks, or related industries
* Proven experience managing projects, teams, and budgets
* Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
* Commercially minded with a hands‐on operational approach
* Strong understanding of WHS legislation and compliance
* Current Driver's Licence and National Police Clearance
* Ability to pass pre‐employment medical and drug & alcohol screening
