About the Opportunity
We are seeking an Experienced Automotive Electrician on a Permanent Full-Time basis, based at Picton (Bunbury) workshop. Working closely with our maintenance teams and reporting to our Workshop Supervisors, this is an exciting opportunity to work with one of the largest CAT fleets in the Southern Hemisphere.
About You
* Minimum 2+ years' experience as an Automotive Electrician, ideally in mining or civil environments
* Australian recognised Automotive Electrical Trade Certificate
* Australian recognised Air Conditioning Ticket
* Additional High Risk Work Licences (Highly Regarded)
* Strong diagnostic capability across electrical, air conditioning and control systems
* Commitment to safety, teamwork and high quality workmanship
* Ability to work independently and manage daily priorities
* Effective communication skills and a proactive approach
* Valid Australian Driver?s Licence
* Ability to pass a Pre Employment Medical and Drug & Alcohol Screen
Responsibilities
* Utilising your organisational skills to ensure you are stocked with the required parts & tools to undertake work on site.
* Complete scheduled repairs and maintenance (rebuilds and component change outs) of mobile equipment in a safe and efficient manner using correct manual handling techniques.
* Perform diagnostics, problem solving, and fault finding accurately and in a timely manner.
* Strive for continuous improvement by identifying, interpreting and repair for reuse of any parts and accessories.
* Effectively work and communicate with other team members & clients on site to prioritise tasks and achieve deadlines.
* Able to work self-sufficiently, part of a team, autonomously, and conduct works in a professional manner.
* Ability to meet deadlines whilst maintaining a strong approach to safety
