We are seeking a dedicated Elder Abuse Practitioner to join our team in a part-time capacity (37.5 hours a fortnight). As a member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing critical support to individuals and families affected by elder abuse.
This role involves case management and community education initiatives to safeguard older persons from financial exploitation. The focus is on driving meaningful change and empowering vulnerable community members by raising awareness about signs and prevention of elder abuse.
Key Responsibilities:
* Case Management: Understand clients' circumstances deeply, make referrals, and recommend services to build a network of support.
* Community Education: Develop rapport with community services and stakeholders, promote awareness of elder abuse signs, and advocate for the program.
Requirements:
* Undergraduate qualifications in social or behavioural sciences.
* Experience working with clients in various settings, applying case management in complex cases.
* Experience in delivering case management and/or counselling to elder abuse-affected clients is highly desirable.
