About the Opportunity
This is a unique opportunity to join Lately, an intimate cocktail club and late-night lounge, designed for refined drinks, curated sound and atmospheric evenings.
As an Experienced Bartender, you'll play a key role on the floor and behind the bar, setting service standards. Working closely with venue leadership, you'll help evolve the drinks offering while delivering elevated, yet relaxed service aligned with Lately's speakeasy-style identity.
Your expertise and calm presence will shape memorable late-night experiences centred around cocktails, music and connection.
What You'll Do
* Delivering warm, engaging and professional service at the bar
* Preparing and serving cocktails, spirits, wine and beer to a high standard
* Confidently recommending drinks and guiding guests through the beverage offering
* Maintaining speed, accuracy and calm during busy service periods
* Managing bar setup, stock levels and clean-down procedures
* Ensuring all RSA and venue safety standards are upheld at all times
* Handling payments accurately, including cash and EFTPOS transactions
* Supporting floor service and functions when required
* Maintaining exceptional presentation, cleanliness and organisation behind the bar
* Working closely with the wider FOH and BOH teams to deliver seamless service
* Contributing to a positive, inclusive and professional team culture
About You
You're confident behind the bar, love engaging with guests and take pride in your craft. You bring energy, professionalism and a genuine passion for hospitality to every shift. You'll also have:
* Previous bartending or bar FOH experience
* Strong product knowledge or a keen interest in cocktails, spirits, wine and beer
* Excellent communication and customer service skills
* The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
* High attention to detail and pride in presentation and consistency
* Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification
* A team-first mindset and willingness to learn and grow
* Flexible availability to work nights and weekends
