This is a blue chip employer with a major focus on growth, and innovation. As the Senior Operational Risk Manager, you will work closely with the Head of Operational Risk. You will also be working closely with the business and a broad group of risk and compliance professionals in varying functions.

Responsibilities
* Lead Line 2 oversight of operational risk management, ensuring adherence to the risk framework
* Work closely with senior business leaders providing suitable risk advice, informed by commercial acumen
* Review and challenge risk assessments and controls effectiveness
* Incident and issue management including oversee Line 2 governance of incidents and issues
* Manage investigations and root cause analysis. Challenge remediation actions and identify recurrent themes and control weaknesses
* Coordinate relevant project and change initiatives including providing challenge on control design
* Focus on continuous improvement. Translate incident and issue data in to actionable insights for senior management and identify emerging risk themes. Recommend practical risk enhancements
* Lead and develop team of high performing risk professionals
* Actively promote strong risk awareness and work together to manage risk across the business
Qualifications
To be successful in this role you will have 8 years or more experience in a risk role within the Financial Services industry, ideally within a non bank but banking, insurance or consulting experience will also be considered. Deep experience in Line 2 Operational Risk is essential, coupled with people leadership experience. You can demonstrate business partnering skills, combined with strong commercial acumen and professional "presence". A Bachelor degree in Business, Finance, Commerce or Law will be looked upon favourably, along with relevant professional qualifications.
