Occupational Therapist Role Overview
This role is for an Occupational Therapist to join our team in a full-time position supporting older adults across the Tamworth Regional Council area.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct assessments and interventions in the community, including discharge planning for Manilla and Barraba Hospitals and post-acute care interventions.
* Deliver high-quality clinical services to adults within the Tamworth Regional Council area, promoting optimal health and wellbeing outcomes for patients, their families, and carers.
* Work independently and as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team.
* Manage your own waitlist, appointments, and workload while collaborating with senior occupational therapists.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Current Authority to Practice with AHPRA.
* Proactive and organised clinician with strong planning, communication, and time-management skills.
* Passion for rural healthcare and experience in home modifications and equipment prescription (preferred).
* Australian Citizenship or equivalent residency status.
