The Role
We are seeking an experienced Business Analystto support the development and sustainment of complex, technology‐enabled capabilities within a secure government program.
In this role, you will work across business and technical teams to elicit, analyse, and define requirements, translating business needs into structured, developer‐ready artefacts. You will operate in a fast‐paced, Agile delivery environment, contributing to both new capability delivery and ongoing system sustainment.
This is a delivery-focused Business Analyst role suited to someone who is highly organised, detail‐oriented, and comfortable working across complex technical environments with diverse stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead stakeholder engagement to elicit, analyse, prioritise, and validate business and technical requirements.
* Facilitate workshops and discussions to support decision‐making and drive alignment across stakeholders.
* Produce high‐quality business analysis artefacts, including requirements documentation, process models, use cases, and operating models.
* Maintain end‐to‐end traceability from business requirements through to solution design, testing, and implementation.
* Develop test artefacts and support system and user acceptance testing activities.
* Contribute to security, risk, and governance documentation, ensuring audit‐ready outputs.
* Collect and analyse performance and operational data to inform continuous improvement.
* Maintain accurate documentation and artefacts within Jira and Confluence.
* Ensure effective knowledge transfer and support long‐term system sustainment.
What You'll Need
* Minimum 5 years' experience in Business Analysis within complex environments.
* Strong capability across requirements elicitation, analysis, documentation, and validation.
* Experience producing structured, clear, and testable artefacts (e.g. BRDs, process maps, use cases).
* Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
* Strong analytical and problem‐solving skills.
* Excellent communication skills across both technical and non‐technical stakeholders.
* Ability to manage competing priorities in fast‐paced delivery settings.
* Experience with tools such as Jira and Confluence.
Desirable Experience
* Experience working in cyber security and/or cloud environments (AWS preferred).
* Familiarity with security and compliance frameworks such as ISM or PSPF.
* Experience supporting system accreditation and secure delivery requirements.
Employment Type
