**Our client**:
Our client has been around for 35+ years and they merchandise more than 30 different commodities to over 25 countries. Our client is one of Australia's state-of-the-art and most efficient export terminals following a major redevelopment recently.
**Key Accountabilities**:
- Plan, schedule and organise own work within the requirements of the work plan, and coordinate with other parties, especially including discussion and planning with operations team
- Ensure assigned trades work is completed safely and in accordance with quality requirements, company policy and all statutory requirements
- Provide trouble-shooting expertise as required
- Ensure mechanical work is performed in accordance with safety requirements
- Develop and maintain positive work relationships within the team
- Contribute ideas for continuous improvement and assist in the development of job procedures as required.
**Qualifications and Experience**:
- 3 - 5 years maintenance experience in Heavy industrial plant is desirable but not essential
- Experience in installation, operation, service, fault finding, repair and maintenance of plant equipment such as chain, belt & roller conveyor transport systems, compressors, vacuum systems & pumps, gear motors, dust extraction equipment and other systems pertaining to grain handling and tallow storage and associated plant services
- Competent at basic oxy acetylene gas, MIG/TIG welding repairs with stainless steel desirable
- Experienced with MEX maintenance system or similar
- Ability to make appropriate decisions in difficult situations
- Ability to work independently and have a focus on safety
