Overview
We're partnering with a blue-collar organisation to fill an experienced HR Business Partner role for a 3-month opportunity with permanent potential. The role reports to the Head of Business Partnering and manages a large portfolio of employees and industrial relations matters.
Key Responsibilities
Employee & Industrial Relations: Provide expert IR advice to line managers and support enterprise bargaining negotiations.
Complex Case Management: Conduct workplace investigations, prepare responses to unfair-dismissal applications, attend conciliation.
Talent Management: Source, develop and retain talent; support managers through performance review and succession planning.
Leadership Coaching: Coach managers and supervisors to improve people-management capability.
HR Strategy & Compliance: Support change management and restructuring, ensure compliance with safety, health and environmental legislation.
Qualifications & Experience
3-5 years' experience in HR Business Partnering within a large organisation.
Tertiary qualification in human resources management or related field.
Strong ER & IR capability; exposure to EAs/EBA negotiation essential.
Practical experience in workplace investigations, disciplinary matters and FWC processes up to conciliation.
Excellent knowledge of employment legislation.
Ability to coach, influence and develop others.
Experience in a unionised environment an advantage.
