About the Role
Operating within the Exercise Physiology (Strathfield) unit, the Professional Practice Educator provides high-quality professional education and supervision to students undertaking professional practice placement within Exercise Science and Exercise Physiology disciplines. The role involves delivering work-integrated learning initiatives that provide students with the opportunity to practice the application of theory and skills in a supportive workplace while delivering high-quality, best-practice exercise prescription to clients.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide high-quality professional education and supervision to practice placement students.
* Lead the development and oversight of placement programs.
* Source, maintain, and foster client and partner agency relationships.
* Secure a sustainable, equitable, and safe number of placement opportunities.
* Ensure student placement requirements are met.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Relevant professional qualification in Exercise Physiology, Exercise Science or related discipline.
* Experience in professional supervision and program development preferred.
* Working with Children Check (WWCC) or Working with Vulnerable People Check (WWVP) (ACT only) required.
* Must hold Australian work rights; permanent work rights required for permanent/continuing roles.
* Must be capable of working in a hybrid environment.
What We Offer
* Competitive remuneration: total valued to $97,571 – $131,935 (pro rata) per annum, including salary component $82,449 – $111,487 (pro rata) per annum.
* Employer superannuation contributions of 17%.
* Annual leave loading equivalent to 17.5% of four weeks' salary pro rata.
