The Role
Within the established guidelines and procedures, provide an efficient and effective support service to the operating room suite (ORS).
Responsibilities
* The Theatre Support Officer works as an integral member of the interdisciplinary team to provide safe patient care, under the guidance of the Registered Nurse.
* The LGH has 9 Operating Theatres and provides a 24/7 emergency service to the community.
* The successful applicants will be provided with onsite training at full‐time hours for a minimum of 3 months.
Eligibility
* Certificate III in Health Services Assistance (Operating Theatre Technician Specialisation)
* Certificate IV in Operating Theatre Technical Support
Employment Details
Fixed term, casual, shift worker position working as and when required, commencing as soon as possible for approximately 12 months. Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary
$70,033 to $75,114 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount. Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2025.
