Alstonville Tiles & Floorcoverings is a family owned and operated business situated in the Northern Rivers region of NSW. Uniquely positioned within our area, we provide the regions only ‘ONE-STOP’ solution for ceramic tiling and floor covering needs.
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic Tiling Estimator and Project Manager/Supervisor, with a proven history in estimating and managing projects from commencement to completion. Experience in driving sales, both on site and within a showroom environment is also desirable. Previous trade experience would be highly advantageous.
The successful applicant will:
* Excel in providing outstanding personal customer service.
* Always maintain the highest standard of honesty and integrity
* Possess the necessary knowledge, skill, and desire to ensure that our projects are conducted in accordance with the relevant Australian Standards and the National Construction Code, and that premium results are achieved for our clients.
* Demonstrate excellent communications skills and a keen eye for detail.
* Perform on-site inspections, and prepare quotations, place orders on behalf of our clients, and consult with both suppliers and transport companies to facilitate the delivery of products within specific time limits, especially when orders are of a time critical nature.
* Demonstrate the ability to manage and schedule projects, including the engagement and supervision of sub-contract labour conducting work on our behalf.
* Demonstrate the ability to generate and follow up leads and convert them into sales.
* Have exceptional organisational skills and be capable of efficiently managing their individual workload whilst working within a small team environment.
* Demonstrate the flexibility and willingness to accept a varied range of tasks, responsibilities, and training, to meet the day to day demands of the business.
* Possess sound administration, basic maths and computer skills. - Experience using Microsoft Excel will be advantageous.
* Demonstrate the ability to understand and draw basic plans.
* Be prepared to comply with Work Health and Safety (WHS) policies and with site specific, Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS).
* Maintain a high standard of personal presentation.
* Be willing to participate in a Saturday morning work roster.
* Actively support the management team in the pursuit of its business goals.
This is a full-time role; 5 days a week with some additional rostered Saturday morning work.
Remuneration will be negotiable, based on the individual’s experience and qualifications, and will include the use of a company vehicle and mobile phone.
Retail award conditions will apply including Sick Pay, 4-Weeks Annual Leave Entitlement - (The business closes for a 2-week period over the Christmas/New Year break.), and compulsory 11.5% employer contributions to a nominated superannuation fund.
