Offer description

We are seeking a reliable and personable Administration Officer to join our small team within the agriculture industry.

This role will initially commence as a casual position under the Clerks—Private Sector Award 2020 [MA000002] award, with the opportunity to transition to permanent part-time following a successful 3-month probation period.

We are looking for someone who enjoys customer interaction, can build strong rapport with our customer base, and brings a positive and professional demeanour to the workplace.

Hours

2–3 days per week on an ongoing basis

Wednesday availability is essential

Standard hours are 8:00am – 4:00pm

Additional hours may occasionally be required to cover annual leave and peak periods

Please note: due to the nature of our small team, we are unlikely to be able to accommodate partial-day shifts

About the Role

The successful applicant will initially focus on front-office operations and day-to-day administration while learning the business.

Duties may include:

* Responding to enquiries via phone and email
* Face-to-face customer service
* Taking customer orders via phone and email
* MYOB sales and purchasing data entry
* Processing of incoming payments
* Entering and checking supplier invoices and statements
* Compiling documentation for the operations team
* Filing and general office administration
* Provide administration assistance to the Office Manager and General Manager as required
* Stock management and ordering of office related materials
* Public weighbridge operation

As the role develops, there may be opportunities for additional training and responsibilities in areas such as:

* Payroll and HR
* Compliance and WHS
* Marketing
* Broader business administration functions

Qualifications and Skills:

* Current driver's licence and reliable transport
* Good computer and Microsoft Office literacy
* MYOB experience
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
* Positive and professional attitude
* PSPTRP002 Operate Weighbridges unit of competency
* Qualifications in business, bookkeeping, administration, or a related field
* Familiarity with the agricultural industry
