Job Overview

Helping Hand has been a leading provider of aged care in communities across South Australia since 1953. We are looking for a Food Services Team Leader to help us continue delivering high‐quality, safe and nutritious meals for our residents.

Employment Details

Type: Permanent, Full‐Time
Location: Golden Grove, South Australia

Responsibilities

* Plan and organise the preparation and cooking of food for all residents.
* Manage menu planning and estimating food requirements, including special dietary needs, in line with nutrition and hospitality principles.
* Coordinate effective meal planning, delivery and ongoing evaluation of hospitality services in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
* Provide a range of catering services for the Hotel Services Manager, including special events and functions.
* Assist the Hotel Services Manager in cost‐effective service delivery through sound budgetary planning and monitoring of ongoing operational costs.
* Ensure food preparation and meal delivery complies with South Australian health laws, regulations and Food Safety Standards.

Qualifications

* Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or Certificate III in Community Food Services (or equivalent).
* Demonstrated knowledge of the use of industrial kitchen equipment.
* Good verbal and written communication skills.
* Proof of experience in a commercial kitchen.
* Valid NDIS Worker Screening clearance or willingness to obtain one.

Desirable

* Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery.
* Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
