In doing so, Legal Division provides direct, practical and strategic legal advice to portfolio ministers, the secretary, other senior staff and over 1,600 government schools, supporting approximately over 650,000 Victorian Government school students.About The Role – Ongoing, Full TimeA rare ongoing opportunity has arisen for a Legal Officer to work in the Legislation and Government Law Unit (LGLU), located in the Commercial and Legislation Law (CAL) branch of the Department of Education's Legal Division.LGLU provides advice and manages projects in relation to all aspects of the department's legislative and regulatory agenda, provides governance advice in relation to all aspects of the department's operations and supports the department's response to innovative policy initiatives.
