This is a 12-month contract opportunity for a Senior Network Engineer with a high potential to go permanent.
About the Role:
The role involves handling day-to-day network operations, resolving network-related issues, and collaborating with security teams to address vulnerabilities in a timely manner.
We are seeking a highly skilled individual with a solid foundation in networking including routing, switching, security, and load balancing, hands-on experience with network technologies such as BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, HSRP/VRRP, IPSEC, SNMP, and deep understanding of common vulnerabilities and exposure databases, vulnerability assessment tools, and penetration testing frameworks.
Responsibilities:
* Handle day-to-day network operations and resolve network-related issues
* Collaborate with security teams to address vulnerabilities in a timely manner
* Provide regular reports on vulnerability management activities and network upgrades
Requirements:
* A solid foundation in networking including routing, switching, security, and load balancing is essential
* Hands-on experience with network technologies such as BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, HSRP/VRRP, IPSEC, SNMP is required
* Deep understanding of common vulnerabilities and exposure databases, vulnerability assessment tools, and penetration testing frameworks is necessary
* Experience with Cisco, Juniper, F5, Palo Alto operating systems is required, along with experience with cloud computing technologies across Windows and/or Linux
* Nice to have: scripting languages and automation frameworks for automation and tool development
* Strong communication skills, empathy for customers, and ability to partner with peers who are globally distributed teams and work with them
