Overview
HumeLink West Project is part of a larger $1.4bn initiative to deliver 140km of 500kV double circuit transmission lines from Wagga Wagga Substation to new substations at Gugaa, the Interface Point with HumeLink East near Gundagai, and Maragle in the Snowy Mountains. The project will connect Wagga Wagga, Maragle and Bannaby in regional NSW, significantly increasing the capacity of the electricity network in Australia's eastern states.
The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Stringing Supervisor to join the HumeLink West team.
Responsibilities
* Actively participate in developing a construction HSE culture that integrates safety and environmental awareness.
* Oversee the safe delivery of the stringing work.
* Ensure that allocated resources remain productive.
* Promote proactive safety and environmental awareness for all personnel under supervision.
* Report to the Construction Manager on all matters relating to the quality elements of construction works.
* Direct subcontractors.
Qualifications & Experience
* Minimum of 3 years as a Stringing Supervisor.
* Tertiary and industry qualifications or significant experience in a supervisory role for construction and engineering projects.
* Extensive experience in all aspects of stringing.
* Thorough understanding of Australian OHS legislative requirements.
* Excellent verbal communication skills.
* Valid driver's licence.
* Current Construction Industry Induction Card (White Card or equivalent).
* Medical assessment including drug and alcohol testing prior to commencement.
* Evidence of tertiary qualifications and proof of right to work where applicable.
