The Western Australian Country Health Service is seeking a Clinical Nurse to coordinate and enhance patient care within the Emergency Department in the vibrant and historic town of Kalgoorlie. Key Responsibilities
* Plan, facilitate, and evaluate the delivery of patient care within the Emergency Department.
* Maintain a safe nursing practice and ensure a secure working environment.
* Act as a clinical resource person in the Emergency Department while supervising nursing staff.
* Participate in the development and review of standards, policies, and procedures.
* Advocate for patients, collaborating with them and their carers in their care delivery.
* Engage in discharge planning and educate patients and their families for ongoing care.
Qualifications & Experience
* Eligibility for registration as a Registered Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
* Demonstrated advanced nursing practice and skills in the Emergency Department.
* Exceptional planning, coordination and decision‐making skills related to emergency care.
* Strong background in quality improvement activities.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proven leadership qualities as a team member and mentor.
* Knowledge of legislative obligations relating to Equal Opportunity and Work Health and Safety.
* An interest in furthering your education, including progression towards a postgraduate qualification in Emergency or Critical Care Nursing.
