Project Controls Administrator
Reporting to the Construction Director, this role is primarily focused on cost control and financial reporting, while also supporting general administration requirements.
Responsibilities
* Maintain and update the project cost management system, ensuring accurate coding and allocation of committed, accrued, and actual costs.
* General administration support.
* Prepare and issue monthly cost reports including budget vs. actual analysis, cost-to-complete (CTC), and forecast-at-completion (FAC) for all work packages.
* Support the identification, quantification, and tracking of cost trends, risks, and opportunities — escalating variances to the Project Controls Manager.
* Assist in the preparation of cost estimates for variations, scope changes, and claims.
* Coordinate accruals with site supervisors and subcontract administrators at period end to ensure completeness of cost reporting.
Key Requirements
* Certificate III or above in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field; or equivalent industry experience.
* Minimum 3–5 years' experience in a project controls, cost engineering, or project administration role on construction, oil & gas, or resources projects.
* Demonstrated experience in cost control and financial reporting on major projects.
* Proficiency in cost management systems and project controls tools (e.g. SAP, Oracle, EcoSys, or similar).
