About The Role: We have an exciting opportunity for fully qualified Social Workers to join a supportive and dynamic team at the Mater Hospital- North Sydney.
The role involves: Participating as a member of multidisciplinary teams.
Ensuring a high level of social work practice is maintained consistent with professional standards as defined by the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
Committing to ongoing professional development and teaching through research, education and social work students.
Participating in strategic planning and quality improvement activities.
Participating in meetings of AASW Special Interest Groups and other groups of relevance to the delivery of a high-quality Social Work Service to patients at the Mater.
Areas of work include oncology, palliative care, renal, ICU, general medicine, cardiac, acute orthopaedics.
Ongoing Professional Development.
About You: Essential requirements Degree/Diploma in Social Work.
Eligible for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
Demonstrated experience/expertise in hospital setting.
Maternity Experience.
Demonstrate behaviours that reinforce the core values of The Mater.
Demonstrated ability to manage a demanding workload and prioritise where necessary.
Desirable Criteria Ability to be flexible and dynamic with work hours.
Experience or interest in palliative care.
