About the Role
This position is responsible for database administration in the property and rating system to ensure the Revenue Section produces accurate and timely rates notices, including half-yearly and supplementary notices, in collaboration with Council to support our purpose of Growing Townsville and delivering the Corporate Plan in consultation with the community.
Candidates must have the ability to confidently understand and apply knowledge of Council's financial policies, rating structures, Local Government regulations, and established procedures for database administration.
About You
Our ideal applicant will have:
* Experience in a Local Government or Utilities billing services industry is highly regarded.
* A strong understanding of teamwork and the ability to work collaboratively to meet operational and customer service standards.
* Ability to interpret client needs and apply relevant policies, legislation, and guidelines appropriately.
* High standards of written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce accurate reports and correspondence.
* Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and knowledge of billing databases and record management programs.
