Job Title: Human Resources Administrator
About the Role:
* To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with people at all levels of an organization.
* A proven track record of experience in HR is essential, including experience in recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and policy development.
* You should also have a good understanding of employment legislation and be able to advise managers on compliance issues.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required, as well as the ability to maintain accurate records and provide detailed reports.
* A degree in HR or a related field would be highly desirable.
* Please note that some travel may be required for this role.
Responsibilities:
1. Update Position Descriptions prior to new hires commencing and before the performance appraisal cycle.
2. Prepare employment contracts and manage employee inductions and onboarding processes.
3. Develop, review, and implement HR policies and procedures to meet the evolving needs of the business.
4. Assist with legal compliance across all HR functions, identifying potential areas of risk and recommending improvements.
5. Lead the performance appraisal process, supporting managers and employees to achieve high performance.
6. Manage employee relations, addressing both individual and collective workplace matters effectively.
7. Develop and implement performance management plans for underperforming employees.
8. Coordinate recruitment, onboarding, offboarding, and engagement activities to ensure a seamless employee experience.
9. Liaise with immigration consultants as required to support international recruitment and visa processes.
10. Maintain the HRIS system, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
11. Update and coordinate the training calendar and maintain the skills matrix for staff and subcontractors.
12. Organize employee engagement initiatives and support continuous improvement strategies for retention and culture.
13. Participate in broader HR projects including engagement surveys, system rollouts, process enhancements, and maintaining incident & accident records.
14. Manage workers' compensation claims and oversee return to work programs.
15. Keep subcontractor management portals up to date with company compliance documents such as insurances and certificates.
16. Develop and maintain the company Event Planning Calendar and assist with or manage company events.
17. Produce regular HR reports including headcount, absenteeism, and productivity metrics.
18. Update organisational structure charts and support management with administrative HR duties as required.
