About Us

Originally named The Wayside Foundation, The Ted Noffs Foundation was established in 1970 by the Australian humanitarian, Reverend Ted Noffs, who championed social justice, mental health support, and innovative youth services. Today, the Foundation continues his legacy, delivering frontline services and community support across NSW, ACT & QLD. With over 200 staff and 350 volunteers, we remain deeply committed to helping young people affected by issues related to drugs, crime, and mental health.

The Role

Outclients Manager – oversee the Queensland Outreach team on a 6 month fixed-term maternity leave contract.

The Queensland team operates on an outreach model to young people aged 12-25 and services five catchment areas: Gold Coast, Metro North, Metro South, Sunshine Coast and West Moreton. The Outclients Manager will operate across the five regions to represent the organisation, undertake a lead clinical role within the team and provide services to highly complex clients.

Responsibilities
* Provide individual and family counselling & case management as required.
* Conduct thorough AOD and Mental Health Assessments.
* Actively maintain contact with young people in the program as appropriate.
* Deliver early intervention and prevention strategies.
* Liaise effectively with referrers, service providers and/or family and carers to ensure best service for the young person.
* Establish and maintain networks with other service providers and key stakeholders.
* Development and maintenance of accurate records, statistics and reports.
* Oversight of client records of TED database system.
* Manage the supervision of counselling staff and be the point of contact regarding clinical queries and client related enquiries.
* Maintain a public presence for Noffs Queensland including attending inter agency meetings and service development opportunities as required and represent the Foundation to government and non-government services as required.
* Expect to regularly rotate between three physical location sites and two outreach locations.
* Input into Noffs clinical policy development including assisting in building the Noffs clinical library.
* Development of training resources and provision of staff training where required.
* Oversight and development of clinical/treatment component of Street University (i.e. engagement; treatment; crisis management).
* Management of funding deliverables; in particular, those related to clinical outcomes.
Qualifications & Experience
* Recognised tertiary qualifications, such as in Psychology, Counselling, Family Therapy or Social Work.
* Experience guiding and/or mentoring staff clinical matters.
* Experience and demonstrated ability to provide effective compassionate individual and family therapy for young people and their families.
* Ability to be a team player as well as work effectively with minimal supervision.
* Commitment to the Ted Noffs Foundation model of practice.
* Experience conducting thorough assessments.
* Good written communication of clinical information and reports.
* Good interpersonal and networking skills.
* Must hold a current Driver's Licence and QLD Blue Card.
* Experience in Outreach work.
* Experience in applying a relapse prevention approach in working with young people with AOD problems.
* Demonstrated ability and experience in working with young people with AOD problems.
* Clinical experience in working with young people with a range of problems including depression, conduct disorder, self harm, childhood trauma etc.
* Experience in conducting a full clinical assessment developing appropriate treatment plans, delivering appropriate clinical interventions and liaising closely with other professionals in your role.
