Art, Design & Communication Faculty
LCI Melbourne is seeking dynamic and multidisciplinary Sessional Academics to join our Art, Design & Communication faculty. We are particularly interested in educators and creative practitioners with demonstrated academic and professional expertise in:
Creative Arts Specialisations
- Filmmaking & Photography
- Digital Design (including moving image, digital media, interactive & emerging technologies)
- Design History & Contextual Studies
- Fine Arts (drawing, printmaking, painting, sculpture, digital art) – an advantage

About You
Successful applicants will bring proven educational, professional, and/or research experience and demonstrate an understanding of contemporary global trends across creative disciplines. You will be able to translate your expertise into meaningful learning, embedding innovative approaches to teaching, creative practice, and assessment.
To be successful, you will have:
- A Master degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent professional experience appropriate for teaching in a Bachelor-level course.
- Demonstrated knowledge, skills, and practice aligned to your field through academic achievement and/or significant industry experience.
- Proven teaching or tutoring experience (highly desirable), with a commitment to providing timely, constructive, and holistic feedback supporting diverse learners.
- The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a creative faculty environment.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills.
As a sessional academic, you will contribute meaningfully to the discipline(s) and units you teach. Responsibilities may include preparing and delivering lectures or tutorials, student consultation, assessment marking, and participation in meetings as required by the Faculty Head, and our Director of Studies.
