This position involves accurately preparing client orders for dispatch, following safety procedures, and maintaining equipment and facilities. Key tasks include:
* Follow the packing slip provided to ensure correct seed products are coated with correct treatments depending on the type of seed. Ensuring correct ratios of treatments are used during the production process.
* During the treatment/coating process ensure seed is allowed to dry correctly to avoid issues with clumping of seed mixes.
* Calculating the correct ratio of different seed mixes to ensure the consistency of the seed mix.
* Conduct quality tests to ensure seeds are coated and mixed at correct consistency to allow the finished product to flow accurately into precision seeding machinery.
* Ensuring finished product is put into correct bag size and/or bag brand depending on customer requirements.
* Pattern programming of the FUJI Duel Cell Robotic Palletizer for each different product depending on the type of seed, bag size and stacking requirements.
* Ensure seed orders are appropriately stored and stacked on pallets and clearly labelled for easy distribution and transport.
* Ensuring all export orders meet export standards of packaging and labelling
* Provide excellent service to customers, using a helpful and friendly approach. Seek assistance when needed to ensure customers' needs are fully met.
* Ensure that all plant and equipment are well-maintained, safe, and in good working order. Report any issues to the Manager.
* Keep the yard and shed clean and well-presented to reflect the business's professional image
* Operate the FUJI Duel Cell Robotic Palletizer as needed to ensure maximum efficiency and productiveness
Experience:
* At least one year of previous experience in a production operator role, particularly in an agricultural or similar setting.
* Experience in coordinating a production environment.
* Experience in Operating the FUJI Duel Cell Robotic Palletizer (preferred but not essential)
* Experience operating forklifts and other heavy equipment.
Training/Qualifications:
* Car/Truck License (required).
* Have a relevant Certificate II qualification or equivalent, or one year of relevant work experience to substitute the qualification.
* Forklift License (Deemed High Risk) | TLID2010 or TLILIC0003 or TLILIC0004 (preferred).
* Basic Chemical Safety Certificate | AHCCHM101 (preferred but not essential).
* Any other relevant qualifications in agriculture (desirable).
Skills & Knowledge:
* Strong understanding of safety procedures and the ability to follow operational protocols.
* Proficiency in handling and maintaining equipment, with a focus on safety and efficiency.
* Good organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure.
* Basic knowledge of agricultural products, particularly seed handling (advantageous).
