Job Overview
The Air Refuelling Operator Instructor reports to the KC-30A Lead Instructor to deliver training within time, cost and quality constraints, ensuring end‐user training outcomes.
Responsibilities
* Conduct and develop flight crew training events for customer air refuelling operators during ground and flight simulator training at local and remote sites.
* Conduct comprehensive briefings and debriefings to ensure operators are aware of expected and actual performance during training events.
* Evaluate and document operator performance and progress during training sessions in relevant records and reports.
* Communicate with simulator maintenance technicians to report identified simulator problems or malfunctions.
* Complete required pre‐training administrative activities ensuring training resources (classrooms, briefing rooms, simulators) are prepared and ready.
* Complete all initial and recurrent training activities required to establish and maintain licensing, qualification and instructor standardisation as required by CAE and/or regulatory authorities.
Qualifications
* Strong Air to Air Refuelling experience on KC-30A/MRTT, KC-135, KC-10 or KC-46.
* More than 1000 hours experience as an Air Refuelling Operator and more than 100 hours as an Instructor.
* Previous military AAR Boom, hose and drogue experience.
* Hold qualifications and experience necessary to be authorised by the CO CFS or delegated as a competent simulator instructor to train Air Refuelling Operators.
* Cert IV Training and Assessment, either held or willing to obtain.
