We are looking for an experienced
Group IT Network Manager
to be based in Melbourne (Richmond), and play a key leadership role, overseeing the implementation and management of IT network infrastructure right across our AU business. This isn't just a business-as-usual position – the position is also about solving strategic issues, mitigating risk, and driving projects that shape the future of our network environment. Reporting to the Group IT Technical Site Infrastructure Manager, you'll be driving Fulton Hogan's strategic network initiatives, ensuring our infrastructure is not only robust and secure, but also ready for the future.
Responsibilities
Support, develop and motivate your direct reports to reach their full potential, fostering a collaborative culture across Australian and New Zealand operations.
Proactively manage policies, systems, and protocols to safeguard business data, maintain integrity, and consistently meet industry and legislative requirements.
Continuously monitor usage, troubleshoot issues promptly, and implement enhancements that deliver efficient service and keep projects running smoothly.
Oversee suppliers and service providers to ensure delivery meets contractual standards, is on schedule, and provides maximum value for Fulton Hogan.
Keep stakeholders, management, and your team in the loop with timely, accurate reports and regular updates, ensuring everyone is aligned with IT strategy and outcomes.
Evaluate new technologies, suggest practical enhancements, and implement solutions that drive ongoing business value, positioning Fulton Hogan as a leader in technology and innovation.
This role involves some travel, with around two trips per year to New Zealand and travel within Australia required once or twice a quarter. This is a fantastic opportunity to connect with colleagues and create alignment across our trans-Tasman operations and stay close to our sites and teams locally.
How will you connect with the role?
To be successful in this role, you'll bring a strong foundation of hands-on IT expertise alongside a relevant degree, and at least five years' experience leading IT network infrastructure projects and teams with a major company.
Required skills and experience
Advanced skills across LANs, WANs, switching, wireless, Aruba Central, Airwave, ClearPass, Checkpoint, and Fortinet.
A working knowledge of the Microsoft Windows Server suite and Active Directory is favourable.
Ability to plan, analyse and solve complex technical challenges.
Experience managing budgets with confidence.
Strong leadership skills; ability to inspire and motivate teams.
