About the role
The Administrative Support Officer (0.8 FTE) provides essential support across key corporate functions, ensuring smooth operations and contributing to compliance, records management and correspondence tracking. The role offers flexibility across five working days and includes executive support to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and General Officers of People Safety & Culture and Customer Community & Communications.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide confidential executive support to the CFO and GMs of People Safety & Culture and Customer Community & Communications.
- Coordinate internal and external meetings – agendas, minutes and meeting packs.
- Manage calendars, correspondence and confidential document filing.
- Liaise with senior executives, government departments, suppliers and clients.
- Support compliance and regulatory processes through admin and document management.
- Oversee shared inboxes, mail handling and FOI‑related communications.
- Maintain accurate records in line with organisational policies.
- Assist with onboarding and guidance for new team members in compliance roles.
- Contribute to projects, initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
- Foster collaboration across departments and support cross‑functional communication.
- Promote a positive inclusive and respectful workplace culture.
- Uphold EGW values and behaviours in all interactions.
- Apply and support Health Safety & Environment policies and safe work practices.
- Ensure accurate recordkeeping to support business decisions.
- Handle all queries with sensitivity and maintain confidentiality for staff and customers.

Position details
- This role has been classified as per our Enterprise Agreement as a Band 2 position ( $64,906.86 - $72,911.12 per annum)
- Plus 12% employer superannuation contribution. We reserve the right to remunerate successful candidates within the span of this classification dependent on demonstrated skills, experience and qualifications.
- Shortlisted applicants may be required to undertake a pre‑employment medical and National Police Check.

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA
- Qualifications and/or significant experience in Business Administration or other relevant qualification.
- Strong commitment to upholding confidentiality, discretion and professionalism.
- Experience working in an office environment with a variety of office technology.
- Highly effective time management skills to ensure high‑quality outcomes and the ability to prioritise.
- Excellent interpersonal skills combined with well‑developed verbal, written and presentation skills ensuring the ability to work effectively with people at all organisational levels in and outside of East Gippsland Water.
- A positive attitude towards personal development including being united, authentic, innovative and accountable to achieve corporate objectives.
