Midwifery Care Professional
We are seeking a skilled Midwifery Care Professional to join our dynamic team at Shoalhaven Memorial Hospital. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide holistic care to women and families, supporting them through every stage of their journey.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a Registered Midwife to work in a state-of-the-art facility, providing emergency care, medical, surgical and orthopaedic services. Our hospital has an Intensive Care Unit focusing on high dependency and coronary patients, Children's Ward and Maternity Unit, as well as a purpose-built regional Cancer Care Centre and sub-acute Mental Health Unit.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide primary care for low-risk women and collaborative care for those with identified needs or GP shared care.
* Work within a supportive team environment, communicating effectively and maintaining high clinical standards.
* Manage competing priorities, contribute to continuous improvement and deliver comprehensive care that meets individual patient needs.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A current registration as a Registered Midwife with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
* Highly developed clinical skills, with experience in antenatal and postnatal care.
* A commitment to delivering exceptional, woman-centred care and contributing to the ongoing development of our team.
