Sexual Health Specialist Role
The position of Specialist in Sexual Health Medicine is available for a part-time appointment. The role involves working 7 hours per week to provide clinical management of STIs, including HIV/AIDS and hepatitis C.
About the Department
Our department specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of sexually transmissible infections. We are known for our clinical excellence and innovation through research. Our staff consists of approximately 80 members, including doctors, nurses, researchers, and postgraduate students.
About the Role
This role requires a medical practitioner who is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). The appointee should have Fellowship of the Australasian Chapter of Sexual Health Medicine and demonstrable relevant knowledge and experience in HIV and Sexual Health Medicine. They should also meet Alfred Health requirements for credentialing and scope of practice in Sexual Health Medicine.
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants must possess the following qualifications and experience:
1. Legally qualified medical practitioner, registered or registrable with AHPRA without conditions or reprimands.
2. Fellowship of the Australasian Chapter of Sexual Health Medicine.
3. Demonstrable relevant knowledge and experience in HIV and Sexual Health Medicine.
4. Meets Alfred Health requirements for credentialing and scope of practice in Sexual Health Medicine.
