Bus Driver
Do you hold a medium rigid (MR) licence or above? We offer a 4‐week paid driver training program that builds on your current heavy vehicle skills and knowledge to navigate the roads as a professional Bus Driver.
About The Role
We currently have multiple positions available for Casual Bus Drivers at our Gosford depot. We are looking for passionate people who enjoy driving and want to service their community whilst delivering the best experience possible to our customers.
Industry Leading Rates
* $43.59 per hour Weekday (shift loadings – 15% to 100% dependant on times of operation)
* $60.36 (Sat) $80.48 (Sun) $100.60 (PH)
* $19.95 attendance allowance paid daily

About Us
At Busways, our core focus is on quality customer service, stakeholder engagement and employee development. For over 80 years, we've delivered a professional, reliable standard of service, operating bus service contracts for Transport for NSW and the South Australian Public Transport Authority.
Hours of Work
Our drivers must be willing and flexible to work various shifts that may include weekends, early morning and late‐night shifts. A large portion of shifts available for full‐time drivers are split shifts, covering peak service times in the morning and afternoon.
Example split shift timings:
* Morning: 6:00 am to 10:00 am
* Afternoon: 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm
Outside of these hours you can leave the depot, head home or run errands, or you can stay at the depot and use our driver facilities. Some straight shifts may also be available with start times varied throughout the day. All depots operate seven days per week with Sunday and public holiday shifts being voluntary overtime.
Eligibility to Apply
* A current and valid Medium Rigid or above driver's licence
* A good driving history
* Strong communication and customer service skills
* Willing to undergo a pre‐employment medical check, criminal history check and working with children check
* Have a current NSW Driver Authority is highly desired (or be willing to obtain one)
Suitable applicants who do not have the required licence and Authority will be offered:
* Paid induction and mentor training
* Attendance at a Driver Authority Course with Busways and help with the application process
