Position Overview: The Conference & Events Sales Executive assists the Sales & Marketing Manager in achieving the departmental occupancy/yield results by ensuring all practices and procedures within the department are implemented and monitored.

Responsibilities
- Take direction from Sales & Marketing Manager as well as maintaining a proactive sales approach.
- Ensure a full understanding of the department responsibilities in order to cover any vacant position in their absence.
- Supervise all practices and procedures and actively seek ways to improve profitability and efficiency of the department.
- Establish and maintain relationships with all relevant industry representatives.
- Co-ordinate the management of all conference and event sales while maximising yield management.
- Maximising the efficiency of Conference & Events Coordinators ensuring fast turnaround on enquiries and accurate details on bookings whilst maintaining a high service standard.
- Show initiative to maximise opportunities as they become available.
- Assisting in all hotel sales and co-ordination of conference & events.
- Work closely with related departments to ensure smooth operations of all conferences and events.
- Guarantee the accuracy of enquiry and booking data specifically related to tracking agent and company productivity, booking channels and source coding.
- Attend revenue and sales meetings as required and present pertinent information and accurate data on group holdings, forecast figures and C&E; trends.
- Encourage effective communication with the sales department regarding sales leads and special promotions.
- Actively promoting our Guest Loyalty Program Priority Guest Rewards, with particular attention on membership acquisition and recognition.
- Ensuring a consistent focus on client needs and satisfaction; building a culture of exceptional service is paramount, consistently delivering exemplary standards of guest service.
- Growing revenue streams ahead of the market with a strong focus on core levers rate and occupancy.
- Guarantee the running of the department in accordance to hotel policies, procedures, guidelines and manuals to ensure compliance, safety and profitability.
- Enthusiastically motivate the team to contribute to the hotel profitability through up selling and utilisation of the workings of yield manager.
- Be a brand ambassador for the hotel as well as EVENT Hospitality & Entertainment.
- Follow and adhere to hotel policies, procedures, guidelines and manuals to ensure compliance, safety and profitability.
- Give assistance and support to other departments and/or colleagues when needed.
- Attend all scheduled meetings.
- Participate in scheduled training and development programs.
- The ability to identify, analyse and resolve problems that may arise within the department.
