Provide Student Care in a Dynamic College Setting
We're seeking a Student Services Officer to support student wellbeing, build strong connections with families, and ensure compliance across key student services. The position operates Monday‐Friday during school terms.
About the Role
Student Services plays a pivotal role in supporting the holistic care and management of students. The role acts as a key communication link between students, staff and families, ensuring student support, attendance compliance and first‐aid response, and working as part of a small team led by a Student Services Coordinator, a Compliance Coordinator and a Workplace Health and Safety Advisor.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee daily student attendance tracking and follow‐ups via Edumate.
* Ensure accurate recording of late arrivals, early departures and absences.
* Communicate with families and staff regarding attendance.
* Support teachers with first‐aid and medical preparation for excursions and camps.
* Provide first‐aid response.
* Administer medication in line with QLD and federal legislation.
* Provide a safe space for students in need of de‐escalation.
* Support staff in managing student behaviour and re‐engagement.
* Communicate professionally with families during times of need.
What You'll Need
* Current First Aid and CPR certification.
* Demonstrated administration skills.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* A proactive, compassionate, solutions‐focused mindset.
* Ability to work collaboratively with staff, students and families.
* Eligibility to hold a Blue Card (Working with Children Check).

* An Australian citizen.
* A permanent resident.
* Holder of an appropriate permit to work in Australia.
