The Business Analysis Capability Lead is responsible for the establishment and development of the Bureau's Business Analysis capability, bringing together the Bureau's considerable organisational and technical knowledge and developing it in line with industry best practice standards, frameworks, processes, work practices. As part of this uplift, the Bureau is implementing a structured approach including practices, tooling and processes to be used by Business Analysts across all areas of the Bureau, with process and analysis focus. This cultural shift requires the support and leadership of the newly appointed Business Analysis Capability Lead.
Reporting into the Planning and Architecture Program, the role will have full responsibility for leading and managing the Business Analysts across the Bureau, including the recruitment, deployment and performance management of analysts on projects, as well as balancing the resourcing model between permanent staff and contractors according to the strategic investment pipeline and funding constraints inherent in the portfolio. The incumbent must have significant experience working in fast-moving, distributed, ambiguous environments delivering both technically-focused and operational business requirements.
The incumbent will be expected to demonstrate high level critical thinking, problem solving and influencing skills in order to drive change across the Bureau.
