Junior Security Coordinator - APAC regionWe are hiring two Junior Security Coordinators to join our Global Security Operations Centre (GSOC) in Melbourne. They provide clients with timely, relevant, actionable intelligence and advice using cutting-edge technology to provide location specific insight and monitoring of incidents.We work with our clients to help evaluate the security risks their global operations face, providing valuable advice on minimising those risks and guiding them through the process of building a safer and more secure environment for their employees, project, personnel and site facilities. Providing access to highly specialist consultants with local knowledge and experience of challenging environments, we help clients develop risk mitigation plans appropriate to the level of risk acceptable to them.What we are looking for:Skills:Demonstrated interest in political and security issues, especially in the APAC region.Excellent written and verbal communication.Experience in writing information for English-speaking audiences; proficiency in a second regional language is an advantage.Willingness to work outside normal hours for security operations.Experience:At least one year in security or international relations (military, government, police, NGOs, corporate security) is desirable but not essentialDegree (or equivalent) in International Relations, Security Studies, or related field.Travel/Hours:Travel as needed.Willingness to work outside normal business hours.Character:Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork.Organized, able to multitask and meet deadlines.Calm under pressure, detail-oriented, and protocol-driven.Effective communicator, committed to quality.Career Development:This post will offer opportunity for development as we expand our Risk Management business.In addition to full training being provided for the role, the successful candidate will also have the opportunity to undertake a highly comprehensive Crisis and Security Risk Manager training programme, specifically designed to develop your security manager skills, competencies and undertake professional qualifications.The post is a stepping-stone to becoming a Regional Security Coordinator (RSC) and delivering consultancy projects.About the roleJob Summary:The Junior Security Coordinator supports Healix in delivering high-quality operational security services.Key Responsibilities:Security Operations:Support the security desk, providing advice and assistance to travellers, expatriates, and corporate security managers.Manage client cases professionally and promptly, ensuring adherence to business rules.Assist during security escalations and provide 'Active Monitoring' for Level 4 incidents.Participate in Incident Management Teams during escalations and evacuations.Develop security operational capabilities, focusing on APAC, and handle asset due diligence.Provide logistical support to internal staff and contractors.Risk Intelligence:Monitor global incidents on weekends and support the APAC Global Threat Analyst.Collaborate on weekly forecasts and complex reports for platform subscribers.Colleague & Stakeholder Engagement:Work with Global Threat Analysts to maintain regional security awareness.Engage with Healix stakeholders, including medical, projects, and business development teams.Please note that should we receive a high number of applications, we may close the vacancy early and so encourage interested candidates to apply as soon as possible.About the companyAll around the world, Healix safeguards people's health and wellbeing.Required CriteriaFluent in English, with excellent writing ability.Relevant undergraduate qualification in International Relations, Security Studies or other regional specialism.Desired CriteriaExperience of international travelCapability in additional languagesRelevant experience in government, international bodies, NGOs, corporate securitySkills you'll need
