These roles are within the Defence environment working on Navy Capability programs, in Project, Program, and Schedule Management.
Providing professional delivery support including project establishment, timeline scheduling, cost and expenditure tracking, risk and issue register management, governance support, executive briefing preparation, and phase transition control. This is your chance to make a difference in this 12-month contract based at Russell Offices in Canberra.
Australian Citizens who hold an NV1, NV2, or TSPV security clearance will be considered for this role.
Responsibilities
* Experience/Skills Sought: As the successful candidate, you will possess the following:
* Program & Product Management: Experience establishing governance frameworks, monitoring program-level performance, and managing project interdependencies.
* Project Management Support: Strong track record in developing Project Management Plans and defining project scopes and milestones.
* Schedule & Cost Control: Demonstrated skill in building and maintaining master project schedules and tracking expenditures against budgets.
* Risk, Issue, & Opportunity Management: Experience maintaining active registers and proactively escalating delivery roadblocks.
Essential Qualification/Experience/Work Environment
* Proven experience leading or supporting complex capability projects within Defence or an equivalent heavy industry/government environment.
* Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to prepare and present high-level briefings and reports to senior executives.
* Ability to work cohesively on an above-the-line basis embedded directly within Navy functional branches (such as Logistics, Implementation, or Intelligence).
Desirable Qualification/ Skills/ Experience
* Formal project management certifications (e.g., Prince2, PMBOK, or specialized project scheduling qualifications).
* Experience handling dynamic resource shifts within a centralized hub-and-spoke workforce model.
