About the role

This is a full‐time opportunity to join Ashburton Aboriginal Corporation as an Employment Consultant in Karratha, Western Australia. In this strategic role, you will be responsible for providing tailored employment services and support to job seekers, helping them find sustainable employment opportunities that align with their goals and aspirations.

What you'll be doing
* Conducting comprehensive assessments to understand each client's unique needs, skills, and employment goals.
* Developing individualised employment plans and implementing strategies to help clients successfully secure and maintain employment.
* Liaising with other team members and local employers to identify suitable job opportunities and facilitate placements for clients.
* Collaborating with other community services and stakeholders to connect clients with relevant training, education, and support programs.
* Maintaining accurate records and reporting on client outcomes to support continuous improvement.
What we're looking for
* Demonstrated experience in an employment services or community development role with strong administration skills.
* Strong understanding of the challenges and barriers faced by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander job seekers, and the ability to provide culturally appropriate support.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and engage effectively with a diverse range of clients.
* Proficiency in case management, including the development of individualised employment plans and the ability to monitor and report on client outcomes.
* A strong customer service orientation and a genuine passion for empowering individuals to achieve their employment goals.
