About the role – Graduate Nurse/Midwife Program, 1 year, 64 hours Per Fortnight

We are seeking enthusiastic and eligible Registered Graduate Nurse/Midwives to participate in our 2027 Graduate Program.

* Part‐time 0.8 EFT (64 hours per fortnight) across a rotating roster
* Pay rate as per the Nursing and Midwives Enterprise Agreement 2024 – 2028

Structured program offering 3 different streams

* Nursing: Two rotations (6 months each)
* Midwife (single registration): 12‐month rotation on midwifery (antenatal, labour, birth and postnatal)
* Nursing midwifery (dual registration): Two rotations (6 months each acute medical and all areas of maternity)

* Provide graduates with the clinical practice to develop and refine knowledge and skills
* Provide a supportive environment to accommodate learning opportunities
* Further develop critical thinking skills

Requirements of the position

* Meet eligibility requirements of the Postgraduate Medical Council of Victoria (PMCV) for Graduate Nursing Midwifery Program (GNMP)
* Registered as a Nurse/Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) prior to position commencement date
* Ability to fulfil rotating roster requirements; working across all shifts Monday to Sunday, including weekends and public holidays
* Evidence of immunisations
* Valid Police Check
* Valid Working with Children check
* NDIS screening check (area specific)
* Evidence of a valid Visa allowing full working rights with no restrictions (if not an Australian citizen or permanent resident)

Applications open at 10am Monday 1st June and close Wednesday 1st July at 5pm in line with PMCV guidelines.

* Register with Post Graduate Medical Council of Victoria (PMCV) and rank Bayside Health Regional Care Group – Bass Coast Graduate Program.
* Apply directly to Bayside Health – Bass Coast.
o One page cover letter outlining why you have selected Bayside Health – Bass Coast for your Graduate Year. The cover letter must include your computer match candidate number and two areas of clinical interest.
o A certified copy of your most recent academic transcript with a key to results.
o A certified copy of your two most recent clinical summative appraisals. One second year clinical appraisal will be accepted if necessary.
o Clinical reference requirements: References collected by GNMP PMCV will be utilised for 2027 recruitment. Candidates are required to follow GNMP PMCV referee guidelines available in the 2026–2027 Candidate Handbook on the PMCV website.
