For a once‐in‐a‐lifetime opportunity, Ayers Rock Resort is looking for a Sous Chef to live and work onsite at Yulara, NT, 20 minutes from Uluru, one of Australia's most iconic landmarks.
We are seeking a Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery qualified Sous Chef with strong experience in 5‐star restaurant operations to lead our kitchen. In this role you will oversee kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of quality and profitability while providing excellent products and services to our guests and driving sustainable, profitable outlets. You will assist the Head Chef in creating and maintaining training programmes so that our associates possess the skills needed to perform their jobs and uphold culinary standards.
Key Duties
* Assist senior chefs with menu planning, inventory control, scheduling and ordering of kitchen supplies for the pastry kitchen and bakery.
* Work closely with the Executive Chef to keep the kitchen running smoothly and efficiently.
* Undertake all kitchen and service duties including cleaning, food preparation, cookery and guest service.
* Assist chefs in all sections of the kitchen as required by the Head Chef.
