The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Part Time Senior Retail Travel Consultant to join our growing team in Mount Lawley. This role is in office.
This is an ideal opportunity for a confident retail consultant who enjoys managing their own client base, creating tailored itineraries, and building long‐term client relationships. You'll work with both new and repeat clients, delivering end‐to‐end leisure travel solutions across a wide range of destinations and styles.
The Role
Based in our Mount Lawley office, you will manage retail leisure travel bookings from initial enquiry through to post‐travel support. You'll take ownership of your clients, delivering personalised service, expert advice, and seamless travel experiences.
This is a senior role focused on quality service, relationship‐building and sales performance within a supportive and experienced team environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Advise and arrange travel for retail customers, including individuals and small groups
* Conduct analysis and research on travel options, and proactively anticipate traveller needs to offer additional services
* Book domestic and international travel including flights, cruises, tours, accommodation, rail, and car hire
* Ensure compliance with customers' agreed travel policy, service provider policies, and regulatory requirements
* Manage supplier relationships, bookings, payments, and documentation
* Ensure accurate pricing, margins, and itinerary structure
* Liaise with airlines, hotels, venues, and ground operators
* Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the booking lifecycle
Requirements
* Minimum of 2 years demonstrated travel management experience
* Strong retail travel advising experience and passion for travel
* Confident sales skills with proven results
* Solid knowledge of airfares & ticketing, cruising and international destinations
* Ability to manage your own client base and build long‐term relationships
* Knowledge of domestic and international group fares and systems preferred
* Comfortable working in a fast‐paced, multi‐tasking environment
* Excellent customer service and communication skills, both written and verbal, with a strong attention to detail
* Act with integrity, positive, professional, and client‐focused approach
* Ability to resolve customer issues quickly and independently (with supplier)
* Candidates must have Australian work authorisation at the time of application.
Systems & Technical Skills (Preferred)
* Experience with any GDS system is acceptable; Travelport/Galileo experience preferred with an understanding of IATA fares and ticketing
* Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
You'll support new and repeat clients with all aspects of leisure consulting, including
* Handling new enquiries, itinerary planning, changes and quotes
* Booking flights, cruises, tours, hotel accommodation, and creating comprehensive itineraries to remote & exotic destinations
* Managing supplier communication, payments and setting up client documentation on our app
* Building and maintaining long‐term client relationships
* Confidently cross‐selling and upselling travel options
* Providing excellent customer service, and working well within a team
