The Investment & Financial Services portfolio delivers professional financial services to customer and corporate functions. In relation to service delivery to customers and the organisation, the portfolio plays a critical role in the organisation and consists of more than 80 employees.
The key services provided in the Investment and Financial services team include:
- Corporate Financial Services - responsible for directing and providing advice on the financial and procurement activities of the client to ensure the financial sustainability of the organisation.
- Investment Advisory & Taxation Services - responsible for taxation services for customers and Investment services to investment strategies and practices in relation to monies
- Customer Finance Services
- responsible for the provision of a wide range of services to support the organisation in relation to customer financial and investment related processes
As our Delivery Manager, you will:
- Lead and direct enterprise-wide projects that may impact on multiple business programs and ensure these projects are on time and on budget.
- Establish and oversee project governance frameworks and ensure projects remain strategically focused and operationally effective.
- Be a key representative regarding the project on behalf of the client to all stakeholders; provide authoritative advice on the project to senior leaders, managers and staff while simultaneously provide ongoing advocacy for the project and effective management of expectations on all sides.
- Prepare submissions, briefs, reports and correspondence of a complex nature relating to the planning coordination and implementation of multiple projects.
- Provide leadership, support and direction to project staff to ensure the successful management of all aspects of the program of work.
- Coordinate, monitor and evaluate project finalisation and, where applicable, strategies to support transition to a new business as usual.
- Perform risk analysis to identify issues requiring corrective action and manage risks to ensure compliance with relevant legislation, departmental strategies, policies, standards and systems
- Develop communication strategies and quality assurance processes and protocols to evaluate and measure the achievement of agreed project outcomes.
- Facilitate co-design and co-development workshops with stakeholders, staff and customers to enhance contribution and strengthen buy-in for the continuous improvement agenda from teams across the organization.

This position reports to the Head of the department working closely with key SME's across the organisation and maximise employee engagement and the adoption of enhancements to existing processes and systems.
Highly desirable requirements
- Prince2 or Agile qualifications
- Experience in the use of project management tools (e.g. JIRA etc).
- Practical experience in benefits realisation plans for systems projects.
- An understanding of the Queensland Government Project Assessment Frameworks (PAF).
- Navigates ambiguity, leads change, and champions innovative ideas and solutions.
- Proven track record of delivering projects on time, on budget and fit for purpose.
