Operations Coordinator Job Description
Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the day-to-day operations of our business, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
* Serving customers and providing excellent service in person and over the phone;
* Taking and processing orders accurately and efficiently;
* Weighing trucks and entering data into the system;
* Operating a forklift to move and load timber products;
* Packing and wrapping orders ready for dispatch;
* Learning the different types of timbers and product specifications;
* Assisting with invoicing and general administrative tasks.
Qualifications and Requirements:
* A forklift licence (LF) – essential for daily operations;
* Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate professionally in person and over the phone;
* Experience with invoicing, order processing and basic administration;
* Understanding of quality assurance and maintaining high operational standards;
* Good attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively;
* Reliable, self-motivated and able to work both independently and as part of a team;
* Physically fit and safety-conscious.
