Job Overview
The role of Financial Controller encompasses all aspects of accounting, statutory and financial reporting, tax, treasury, and financial controls. As a technical expert, this position ensures compliance, accuracy, and operational excellence in financial processes while supporting the Finance Director in maintaining strong governance and financial integrity.
Main Responsibilities
* Ensure accurate and timely completion of all financial reports including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and associated sub-forms.
* Validate accruals, provisions, depreciations & amortisations to ensure adherence to IFRS and Group accounting principles.
* Oversee the month-end close process ensuring quality, consistency, and adherence to reporting timelines.
Financial Analysis/Control
* Provide variance analysis and commentary on key financial metrics e.g. year-over-year, month-over-month, and actual compared to forecast and annual plan.
* Perform monthly cost centre reviews and performance analysis with relevant stakeholders.
* Lead or contribute to ad-hoc financial projects and analysis.
Tax and Treasury
* Oversee tax compliance and reporting ensuring accurate and timely submission of all statutory obligations.
* Partner with Group Tax and external advisors to manage audits, optimise tax positions, and mitigate risks.
* Manage treasury operations in collaboration with regional and Group teams to ensure liquidity, cash management, and funding efficiency.
Governance and Compliance
* Ensure adherence to Group policies and directives across accounting and reporting processes.
* Maintain strong internal control compliance under the Electrolux Control System.
* Serve as a key contact for Group Internal Audit and Compliance functions on related matters.
