Role
Reporting directly to an experienced finance manager, the group accountant will focus on providing accurate and detailed management reporting.
You will partner closely with operations divisions while assisting with cost accounting and month/year-end reporting.
Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation of monthly reporting packs for internal and external stakeholders.
Business partner with operational management.
Manage the cost accounting process for the business.
Prepare relevant journals, prepayments and accruals.
Complete monthly general ledger reconciliations.
Prepare month-end and year-end accounts.
Ensure accurate allocation of costs.
Maintain an up-to-date general ledger.
Handle ad hoc tasks and process improvements as required.
Candidate
Tertiary qualified with an accounting or business background.
3-4 years' experience in a similar role.
Completed or aspiring to complete a CA/CPA qualification.
Exceptional communication skills, a strong eye for detail, and a continuous improvement mindset.
Previous exposure to a manufacturing environment is advantageous.
