The role
This is aFull-time, 12 month fixed-term contract with the potential to be made permanent. We are looking for a passionate and creativeState Visual Merchandiser to elevate visual execution across our Melbourne store network, comprising one Brand House and two Factory House locations. Working closely with the District Manager and Corporate Visual Merchandising team, you will bring the Under Armour brand to life through compelling in-store storytelling, consistent merchandising standards, and data-led decision making. This is a field-based role with regular store visits across the network, focused on coaching store teams and delivering visual outcomes that drive conversion and sales performance.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
* Execute and maintain visual merchandising standards across the Melbourne store network in line with Corporate VM direction.
* Deliver compelling in-store displays, windows, and mannequin styling aligned to brand vision and seasonal campaigns.
* Conduct regular store visits across the Brand House and Factory House locations, providing hands‐on support and guidance to store teams.
* Partner with the District Manager and Corporate Visual Merchandising team to ensure consistency across the network.
* Use sales data and performance insights to inform merchandising decisions and optimise product presentation.
* Build visual merchandising capability within store teams through coaching and education on brand standards.
* Produce clear and structured store visit reports and follow up on outstanding actions.
* Manage in-store signage execution, ensuring all assets are delivered to brand standards and maintained effectively.
* Support additional VM projects and any other duties as directed by the District Manager or Corporate Visual Merchandising team.
Desired Skills & Experience:
* Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a visual merchandising role within a specialty or branded retail environment.
* Experience executing VM directives across multiple sites or store networks is desirable but not essential.
* Strong creative eye with the ability to translate brand direction into compelling in‐store presentations across varying store formats.
* Genuine passion for the Under Armour brand, sport, and visual storytelling.
* Self‐motivated and confident communicator who can influence and educate store teams without direct authority.
* Comfortable interpreting sales data and insights to inform merchandising and layout decisions.
* Organised and detail‐oriented, with the ability to manage a busy store visit schedule and produce clear visit reports.
* Familiarity with signage execution, asset management, and campaign rollout processes.
