We are currently seeking an Allied Health Assistant (Level 2) to join our growing Multidisciplinary allied health team in Darwin. Stepping Stones in Life Therapy Service is a small allied health team consisting of Speech Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, Clinical Social Workers, Art Therapists, and Behaviour Support Practitioners.
We are looking for someone who demonstrates the motivation, leadership, and communication skills to support our growing multidisciplinary team to deliver services across the Northern Territory.
As a Therapy Assistant you will deliver therapy programs to our clients under instruction and guidance of our qualified Allied Health Professionals. Therapy programs will include individual and group therapy programs for clients, in an individual and family-centred model of practice.
Candidates must have a minimum of 1 year experience working as an Allied Health Assistant.

* Experience delivering Speech/OT programs under Supervision of Clinician
* Proficient in Microsoft software (word, publisher, outlook)
* Familiarity with Boardmaker

* Capable of working autonomously and as part of a team

Responsibilities:
* Greeting clients in a professional and courteous manner
* Handling sensitive information
* Creating resources
* Delivering programs under supervision
* Delivering Group programs
* Entering data with high levels of accuracy
* Managing multiple tasks
* Assisting all clinicians in sessions in the clinic and in communities
* Assist in allied health sessions as required.
* Equipment Maintenance and dis-infecting.
* Setting up and packing away of sessions
* Administrative tasks; such as data entering, creating client calendars, scanning, typing notes that have been verbally dictated, stocktake

Required before onboarding:
* OCHRE card
* Vaccinations- all vaccinations must be up to date.
* Current National Police check (within last 3 months)
* Cert IV in Allied Health Assistance
* Current First Aid Certificate
* Drivers license
