**About you**
As our
**Reporting Specialist TMS,** you will support the development of business intelligence solutions, analysis of data matching and data integrity associated with the development and implementation of new data and reporting framework with the RACGP. To be successful in the role you will also be able to demonstrate the following:
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role requiring data management and reporting
- Proven experience developing and implementing a robust data and reporting framework and information management system in a complex organisation
- Strong understanding of multiple databases and information system technologies, ETL process (R, SQL) and BI platforms such as Power BI etc
- Ability to establish collaborative relationships with stakeholders to achieve organisational objectives.

**About the opportunity**
Reporting to the TMS Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
- Establish an understanding of the context of the business need in terms of use case, compliance, regulatory context or business imperative.
- Develop the SQL data extract catering for complex interrelationships and utilising views, indexes, temporary tables to provide the data needed for the information need.
- Define business requirements to the extent needed to frame the information needs, presentation output preferences, selection criteria, parameters, scope, data content and drill downs.
- Determine development approach (prototype, waterfall) and technology (within scope of supported technologies) in conjunction the TMS Manager.
- Identify data sources (tables, fields) from database utilising the data base schema.
- Optimisation of performance when appropriate after taking into account responsiveness, and frequency.
Previous experience within education and training will be highly regarded.
