About the Role
As an emergency vet nurse you will be involved in triage, hospital case management, surgery, critical nursing and critical case management. You will experience a wide range of cases such as GDVs, impalements, hit‐by‐cars, ticks, toads and snakes. Our nurses also have access to trained Mental Health First Aid Officers, a wellbeing hub and an Employee Assistance Program for support.
This is a permanent part‐time role with a minimum of 20 hours per week.
Responsibilities
* Hands‐on triage, pathology, radiography, treatments, surgery and patient care
* No conversations with clients about money (dedicated client care team members)
* Incredible case diversity with no two shifts the same
* Collaborative approach to care between vets and vet nurses
* Earning above Award rates with lucrative penalty rates on most shifts

Qualifications
* Minimum of 1 year ECC experience or 3 years GP experience
* Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing minimum or Bachelor of Veterinary Technology
* Thrives in a hands‐on, fast‐paced, dynamic environment
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Love of learning and continual improvement
* Personal mode of transport (essential for shift work)
* Flexibility to work overnight shifts
