We are seeking a motivated and capable individual to join our specialist Strategic Sourcing team. Our team is focused on establishing \"all-of-government\" ICT agreements, driving value, and supporting NSW government agencies in procuring ICT goods and services. About the role
This pivotal role works within a small team of specialists dedicated to establishing all-of-government ICT agreements. The primary purpose of the role is to prepare and negotiate agreements and contracts, in partnership with our legal branch, with which meet the needs of NSW government agencies for procuring ICT goods and services.
Key responsibilities include:
* Reviewing and evaluating proposals from suppliers keen to supply to NSW Government on a whole of sector basis, with a specific focus on assessing supplier compliance with policies, terms and conditions, and risk.
* Negotiating departures and settling standing offer master ICT agreements with preferred suppliers.
* Preparing procurement and project control document as required such as risk assessments, evaluation reports and briefing notes
* Planning and establishing whole-of-government ICT contracts and panels to achieve optimal commercial outcomes.
* Driving cost savings, improving market competition, and reducing transactional friction for government buyers.
* Providing expert advice to stakeholders on ICT procurement matters.
About You
We are looking for a candidate who possesses:
* A sound understanding of government procurement processes.
* Commercial experience working with ICT suppliers.
* Experience in reviewing and evaluating tender responses
* Experience in negotiating and settling ICT agreements across various ICT categories including an understanding of legal concepts in ICT contracts.
* The ability to effectively engage with and gain agreement from agency stakeholders.
* A commitment to acting with integrity and an enjoyment of working collaboratively as part of a team.
